Does someone esle want to take my CC turn?
I’m sorry to keep changing the week but this week, between Pacer Thursday Playoff game and my father-in-law being on a respirator, in the ICU, at St. Vincents, I just can’t have CC, I’m really sorry my life is so busy and complicated right now. On top of that we are geering up for SRP and the other Children’s librarian ( the part time girl who helps with story times, programs, etc) is still on Leave. I am covering my storytimes and hers. Now I am delivering SRP flyers and maybe doing a SRP program with the manager’‘s help when she can. I did enjoy Rachel’s Dental school graduation, Dental school Reception and tour, and the dinner Rachel’s parents hosted. My sister and her Hubby also came. It was a happy-sad weekend. Besides the graduation festivities we spent a lot of time in the hospital with my in-laws. It was nice to Have Bobby and Matt here for the weekend.

Busy Times
At this rate the summer will be over way to soon! I have signed up for a training program to get ready to do the triathlon in August. They concentrate on improving your technique which in turn will improve your time and endurance… I hope. So in addition to going to the technique classes, I will still have to practice laps and do runs/walk on my own. I haven’t decided whether to do the sprint (swim 500 yards, bike 12 miles, run 3) or the Olympic (swim 1500 yards, bike 24, run 6). I could think of worse ways to spend my time!

Leaving tomorrow
Steve and I fly up to Minnesota tomorrow, and will return on the 17th. Last Friday he met Steve Worth over at our new church and took a tour of the whole place. Moving date is June 11, but it’s hard to imagine the place will be ready! For anyone interested, here is a link to the photo album: https://picasaweb.google.com/116007256065134607592/NewPilgrimChurchMay42012#

IMA Plant Sale
On Sunday afternoon Gloria and I went down to IMA for the plant sale. I think it was bigger and better than ever. They had live music and other nursery vendors in the big parking lot, and many tables of the IMA greenhouse plants as well. The extra 20% off made our purchases a bit easier to decide on! It was a little chilly that day, or I think I would have been inspired to buy even more. But too early to put certain things in the ground anyway. The grounds of the IMA are just resplendent right now.
Hope to see you all soon!

gardening show in Danville IN
Went with a master gardener friend and spent most of the morning. All kinds of goodies including free seeds…bought a few tomatoe plants and a scented geranium. Several of the kiosks had fairy gardens which made me think of Carol’s garden. Then we went to the gorgeous Avon gardens and spent more money on plants. Definitely a great time.

It is huge
Went over to our new church this morning - it is under construction, and scheduled to be finished by the middle of June. I have to say that it is very impressive, and very large. The new library is probably 3 times larger than the present one with lots of shelving and room for adding hundreds of books. We will even have a small workroom with counterspace and cabinet storage.
Our friend Steve Worth has been church “overseer” on this project and he has done an impressive job. He not only is well qualified, he is in his glories to be dealing with all things related to construction of a church.
Dedication of this new facility is June 24, and that will be a sad day in a way. We have 33 years of memories at our present location, and those won’t be forgotten any time soon!

Poetry Plus
Tuesday April 3, 7:30 pm in Pilgrim’s library we will have a guest presenter, my neighbor Diane Friedman – she has been with us I think twice before – with the program titled
“Poetry invisibly interwoven: a story connecting Ireland, England and Hungary – now appearing on the movie channel!” (she just told me last week that she has been invited to present this same one this June in Glasgow, Scotland!)
All are welcome

Swimmers and party poopers
Took the girls over to the Y this afternoon to swim. Maureen and Dave were there, just finishing up their lap swim while Delaney and Ella were waiting for the 3 pm open swim time. Then there was me, also sitting there waiting but with no intention of going in the pool. Yes, I was the party pooper! It seemed like Maureen and Dave had a great workout, and certainly the girls did too (they swam for about 1 1/2 hours). And I sure enjoyed watching everyone get their exercise
