Hopelessly devoted

Call me crazy, but I love all that royal stuff!  I watched the whole shebang on BBC TV this morning - it was done up royally right! (I hope that the bride’s lacy long sleeved gown will start a trend so that we can say goodbye to the strapless style that has been around for too long now!)  As much as anything, it is always fun to see those famous locations on TV once you have visited them several times.  Well, I think it will be an early bedtime for me tonight.

Thursday Night

Kate put an entry under the last blog and I was afraid people wouldn’t notice…. she needs to go to the airport about 10:15 to pick up Bill so she’ll need to end CC early.  We might want to plan on getting there close to 8 then.  Or we could all go to the airport and greet Bill… if the airport were 30 minutes closer and it were the days when we could go to the gate and we were teenagers that might be fun.

Anyone interested?

KissZCook is offering a class on Indy Foods: Corn, Wheat, and Duck the night I am scheduled for CC—April 28th.
It’s a little pricey—$75 for a hands on class.
But I’m game if the rest of you are!
Please let me know.  Go to for details.

See… I can do a teaser like Kate…. The Gardeners Shop at the corner of Westfield and 75th is moving into Broad Ripple.  They have 50% off of everything - but it is still pricey and I think we could just ask Susan to pick up stuff similar to it from garage sales or dumpster collecting…. gates, rusty wheelbarrows… but they also have knick knacks that also looks as if they bought them at garage sales.

Speaking of which Susan… whatever you feel is reasonable for a wheelchair - I don’t want it to be ratty since it is for Aunt Gloria.

Thursday Night

I am trying to work four ten hour days, this week, so I can have a three day weekend. I have two options for Thursday. I really don’t think I’m going to feel like having it at my house after a 10 hour day so do you want to wait till next Thursday (that way Carol can come) or would you like to go to Star Bucks again? I think I’ll be up to that since I won’t have to clean my house, make coffee, worry about dessert, etc. Let me know what you think. I am starting to go to College branch, this Wed., to do the Wed. Preschool story Time. I had the Baby Story Time today and will have GLD Preschool Story Time Thursday.

Rainy Day

I didn’t mind the rain today - I did laundry and ran errands.  I sure would have hated to waste a sunny day doing errands!  The beds are mulched - I am ready for May to plant flowers!  Our first asparagus spear is popping up.

Carol Fay… are we still on for this Thursday?

Dave and I have begun a project that has not been authorized by CC. We are having a new tub with ceramic walls, comfort height toilet, and ceramic floor installed in our upstairs middle bathroom.  And as long as we are having that done… we are having a ceramic shower and floor and new toilet installed in our bathroom.  How I wish there were space to expand our bathroom!

The bathroom design people suggested also having the vanity replaced since oak is “dated” and also a new top put on it - although there is nothing wrong with the cultured marble top that is there now - except marble is dated. We are keeping both.

I have eliminated quite a few ceramic tiles and meet with the design consultant at the Tile Shop on Friday at 10.  I suppose we could have a conversation club meeting then?
