I Can’t have CC this Thursday. I can next week

Is next week ok for everyone? This week just isn’t good for me. I had to finally slow down and stay home three nights in a row. I am having some sleep trouble, again, with the added stress of doing all the Children’s programing myself. I did go to the Dr. for blood work and found out she is leaving the practice. More stress to find a Dr. I really enjoyed seeing NCs Fall Musical Into the Woods. Grace Hopkins, who played the witch, really has an amazing voice.

On Thursday Steve and I, Delaney and Ella drove up to Chicago.  We walked around a bit that day, went up to the Sky Deck in the Willis Tower (former Sears Tower!) and that is always a thrill.  We also went to Millennium Park to see “The Bean” - wow - what an amazing structure.  In the evening we went to the Broadway Theatre at Watertower Place and saw “I Love Lucy”  - a loving tribute to that TV show!  It was staged as if we were watching the live filming of two episodes of the show, so there was some music, singing and dancing too.  Along with that, there were breaks for “live commercials” - so fun to sing along with the perfomers - “Brylcream”, :“Halo Shampoo”, “Alka Seltzer” and more!  The girls laughed and clapped throughout the whole thing.  They are huge Lucy fans, and can talk knowledgeably about most any episode during the 9 year run of I Love Lucy on TV.  We also had a supper of genuine “Chicago Style” deep dish pizza - oh boy!  We drove home again on Friday - a great whirlwind trip to the Windy City!

Not my boys but a fammily wedding in Seattle

My Cousin Linda’s Daughter left a message saying she and Dan are engaged! I’m really happy for them. No Date but my Mom said the Wedding will be in Seattle. Still nothing from my boys but I think Bobby is getting closer. Matt is coming in this weekend, Thursday night. Morehead is playing Butler on Saturday night. Elliott is going to the Pacer game. I really wanted to go to the Morehrad FB game but not Alone. My friends, Neil and Dora are going with me. Matt said Jen and he are planning to come here a couple days before Christmas. We havent seen Jen since our visit to St. Louis. I got Elliott to go with me to see the movie “the Trouble With the Curve”. He loved it! I did also. Besides the movie I went to Tai Chi and volunteered to Read stories at the Children’s Museum Infozone. The other lady (who read with me) had her husband come dressed in his fireman uniform. He read books about first responders. How were all of your weekend? Boyit is really raining outside.

Maureen’s dress couldn’t be more perfect. It fits beautifully, has a charming look from the rear and is simply gorgeous. We were all speculating on the discussions this weekend which we will probably have to wait to hear about at the next cc. Desert was yummy.
