Happy Mothers’ Day

Hope you all had a pleasant day. We had a delicious breakfast with Kara and Al which Al fixed. Kara’s daughter had parental visitation at 11:00 so we headed home early. I will work in the garden for much of the day if it doesn’t rain more. Yesterday we “saled” the Fall Creek area neighborhood sales. The littlest one got the most stuff: new back pack; plastic snack containers; a noisy doll, who might be getting lost soon; and so on. I purchased three things: a toaster; a french press;and New Balance shoes. The first two were things I was looking for so I did well.

Out of the mouth of babes

I had my grandmother time this weekend. Friday night I babysat which was lots of fun until it was time for bed…then tantrums complete with kicking. We were going to West Clay Village rummage sale the next morning so no negotiations were allowed. Four hours of treasure hunting with lots of “I-wantitis”. Then Sunday (given a choice) we went to Holliday Park instead of swimming. Apparently the idea of choice was not clear “Let’s go swimming” was mentioned as we left the park after nearly two hours.
Three year old’s say such interesting things: I wish grandma was a baby…then I could rock you.
About milk that had turned pink from dried strawberries: I can’t turn it back to normal.
And singing to the tune of the wheels on the bus the Park: Holliday Park is fun, fun, fun, fun
