Kate - you’re up next!

We missed you last night!

You can let us all know when it’s good for you to have CC.  Maureen did offer her gazebo if you bring the dessert smile  She, Susan and I will be in town if you want to have it in two weeks, which would be the last week of July.

Steve, Delaney and Ella and I are flying out to Baltimore July 24-28 to visit Matthew and Davie and have our annual amusement park outing.  They tell us we are going to King’s Dominion in Virginia this year!

Returned from the North on Monday night, 635 miles in 9 hours and 15 minutes.  Had internet service for about 1 hour before it was gone….for almost 2 days!  So I am just getting back on track with things here in cyberspace!

Also did not have internet access up north at my brother’s from Friday till Sunday night in the hotel in the cities - didn’t do much that night as I thought I would catch up when I got home…oh well!

Hope to see you all tonight!

Hello Susan - and anyone else

i have already talked with Susan so this is for anyone else who happens to read the site—- Another weekend - another bike ride. i picked up a magazine that was at the trail head of the Nickel Plate Trail that goes from Rochester, IN to Kokomo and am all ready to plan next year around the various bike rides!  There is a timed ride outside of Dayton that for every donut you eat, 5 minutes is deducted from your time!
We only rode from Rochester to Peru on The Nickel Plate Trail on Saturday - an out and back for 42 miles which is less than what we have been doing but my pace was faster so all was well.  We met my sister there who brought 40 pounds of just picked absolutely delicious organic blueberries for us - straight from the farm.
I guess careful what you wish for is true - I wished it would stop raining and the sun would shine - and that’s what i got on Sunday but it was horribly hot and humid so after yoga i wandered the mall.
Hope to see everyone at Carol’s.

Red White and Blue Weekend

We had a full weekend -It took Dave just as long to bottle his wine as it did to edge the lawn on Friday while I went to the Y and did grocery shopping.  We now have 61 bottles - should last us.
Saturday we drove to Cincy.  Kevin and Jen were visiting Rachel and Zach for the weekend so we took everyone out for breakfast and then went off on our own for a bike ride.  On the way to breakfast we encountered a Carmel type parade which was fun to watch as we walked to the restaurant.  Dave even saw someone he knew driving a car in the parade.
After breakfast we rode our bikes on the Little Miami trail in Loveland (a Cincy suburb).  I would rather bike 56 miles in one direction than do and out and back but to get back to the car - out and back it was.
We got back to Loveland in time for their festivities - street vendors, funnel cakes, kettle corn, live band and a parade.  We ate inside at a restaurant and then headed home - didn’t stay for the fireworks.
Sunday we did a short bike ride, a long swim, cut the grass and went to church.  Our nephew and his girlfriend invited us over after church for wine, cheese, dip etc to thank us for watching their dog over the weekend.  That was an enjoyable way to end the holiday.
And now onto the rest of the summer.
