Healthy update

I am taking my health seriously and the results are in. CRP showed no inflammation, LDL is down 78, fasting blood sugar is 95 and I have lost 13 pounds by going low fat mostly vegan. I will need to kick up the exercise too but right now I have been spending time reading for information and for recipes. I enjoy reading recipes more than I like cooking.

Out of the Calendar Business!!!!

OK - I don’t know what funky calendar I have been referring to - but I am done setting dates!

Maureen mentions December 10 - which apparently IS a Thursday ~ sounds fun, but I will be in New York City!

Outing anyone?

I can’t keep track of my own schedule let alone everyone else’s…but Thursday, December 10th at Central Library Yelp is having a free POP UP bazaar from 6:30 to 10.
Anyone interested?

New Posts

Just thought the last post was accumulating too many comments…
The 2 dogs are going home today - hope the wind dies down before Rachel and Zach’s plane comes in.
Been busy looking at cars…I think the Subaru Forester may be the one.  When we need to replace the Toyota (it is at 180,000 miles) then we will decide if we want to go with a 3rd seat in the car.
Also have been shopping for a new family room sofa and chairs at Lazy Boy
But haven’t been neglecting the Y!
Carol and Kate - I did see snippets of Hamilton on 60 minutes the other week.  It did look different.
Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving - if you need an easy fresh cranberry with raspberry dish let me know - really refreshing and a nice twist on the traditional cranberries - and very easy to make.
See everyone at the next CC or at” Kate’s” Holiday gathering

I shhowed no blockages and have been given a pass to exert myself. preventing further blockages is an unknown due to inflammation so that will be the great unknown

Maybe I should Read the Book

Okay…now I have 2 boxes of stuff that “does not bring me joy”.  They are in the closet with the memory boxes I have for Kevin and Rachel.  I figure that’s as far as I am going with the project - because i am not ready to get rid of them…too much of a pain to try to sell or give them away and there is that off chance that someday they bring me joy again…But this way when Rachel goes through the stuff she won’t feel bad about getting rid of it because she will know that it didn’t bring me joy…

lovely evening Carol.  Maureen thank you for the lovely anniversary gift. my dining table looks so festve. I read that on treats it is the first bite and the last bite that we most enjoy. I am trying to use that philosophy so I don’t have to totally give up deserts. two bites will have to satisfy. the cardiologist decided to have a stress test on Monday. he is not sure why I continued to have angina. might be spasms which have no known cause.
the stress test should give us some information on how much effort Is safe to pump up when exercising.
