I do believe I may become a snowbird. The weather was very pleasant in Gainesville - one week it was like fall and the next week more spring like. Routine - Monday was 2 miles to the Y (sometimes added another mile), weight class, yoga, 2 miles to Marie’s - and then started the real workout! Other days I did my long walks or a bike ride in the morning and then to Marie’s. A 2 year old, 2 month, and helping with dinner prep, doing dishes, and then walking the .6 tenths mile back to my sisters made for a full day. They gave my sister the wrong apt. so she is in negotiations to get them to pay for her move to the right apt. when it opens up in March…so she hasn’t unpacked or hooked up to the internet…so no tv, newspaper etc. It was almost like camping out except I did have a bed. I made toast in the skillet - that I borrowed from Marie…
Ended up in first class from ATL to Gainesville on the way down due to plane issues. It took me 1/2 the flight to figure out it was first class!
I am in the tamper/rest phase of training for the marathon…only need to walk a total of 12 miles this week. Next week maybe 6.
Time to start planning for spring plantings!

Saraga is the international grocery just south of Lafayette Square. it is overwhelming in just the produce department. so many unusual fruits and vegetables from around the world. I bought beets and cauliflower…and baby bok Choy, Thai basil and cherimoya. also got dried sour cherries and kobo ha squash. if you have never been there I recommend a field trip. I am loving the Purple Carrot dinners that my daughters got for me Christmas. all vegan all amazing. I will give details at our next gathering. Raven survived her operation and I went to visit and keep her company this afternoon.

Pokagon was fine. For three rounds of bridge my partner(different each round) came in first one time and second another and bottom once. my friend and I had the swimming pool all to ourselves for an hour so I got in my exercise.
for the next five weeks I will be participating in a fitness program sponsored by St Vincents for cancer survivors My initial session was last night after which I was too pooped to go to dinner to celebrate 48 years of wedded bliss so we went out to PF Chang’ tonight.
