Back Home and at Work.

I got home last night. I had a hard time leaving my parents. I set up a meeting with a lady who schedules Home Care. My parents listened to her but feel they don’t need it yet even though they are falling in the Condo and every other week or so one of them ends up in the hospital from a fall. They haven’t broken anything but they are dizzy, or dehydrated, etc.My Mom had a vein stripping procedure that I helped go with my Mom and Dad to the out patient office. I pushed my Dad in the wheelchair to lunch. Then he used his walker while I pushed Mom to the car. When I got home yesterday. I went with Elliott to see his Mom. Then we went to the hospital to see my friend Judy,I wish I was up to going to CC at Maureen’s tonight. I’m just very tired. I slept really well last night. Today was the first day the library has been open in three days! Everybody was swarming in to sign up for the Summer Reading program. I’ve been busy today running off pages for Summer Reading folders that go to the Preschools and Dayares. I’m also helping patrons sign up for SRP and help them with computer & reference questions.See you next week.

returned

Colorado has always had incredible sites to see. While the purpose of our trip was to see family(birthday party and a graduation) we also visited Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Betty Ford Alpine Garden. The backdrop to most of this was snow covered mountains and interesting rock formations while we drove from Denver to the western slope. We returned last night and Kara met us and fed us supper. She took care of the dogs while we were gone and had them groomed. They are both looking so different with shaved bodies. Jack has been on my lap all morning so I think he missed me.
There were too many food temptations to stick to my diet and I gained about three pounds. It is so much easier to stick to my eating plan when there isn’t a carrot cake sitting on the counter.

Skyping with Asher and his parents!!

Elliott and I skyped with Asher and parents. We saw him clap his hands, crawl and pull up to his knees! I kept talking to him and he was looking at the screen. I can’t see him in person in May but hopefully in June. Barb said she is working till next Thursday. Then she will let us know her new e-mail address. The current one is good till then. Sorry I couldn’t have CC this Wednesday.  My Mom is going to have her veins in her leg stripped. It’s a out patient procedure.I’ll be there from Thursday till Monday helping my parents. We will talk about getting home care and Mom does want a driver.

Elliott & I bought flowers.

THursday Elliott and I went to Habig. We bought flowers and Perennial ground cover. It was a nice day to do that. We are waiting for our lawn service to spread mulch. I’m working today then a Fever Game tonight. Opening Night. Tomorrow Donna & I are going to the Phoenix theater to see the Book of Merman. It’s supposed to be finny and a take off of the Book of Morman. Trying to keep busy so I don’t worry so much about my parents and Elsie. My Dad fell and was in the hospital. He went home and not too long after that my Mom fell. She was in the hospital and came home last night. I’m going to Munster on my birthday and staying five days. The library is closed three of those days for the Holidays. I’m trying to get to Munster once a month. Also I want to see Asher once a month if possible.

Just back from early church, and now to have coffee and a cinnamon roll…later Taylor and girls will be here and he will grill chicken, so I hope the rain stays away!

Where oh Where ?

Where did spring go to?  After such a yucky day Saturday, I was thankful that Sunday turned out to be so nice but now…Monday?  I just heard the forecast for the rest of the week- rain and below normal temperatures.  They say don’t plant flowers until after Mother’s Day…won’t be hard to do since the nursery’s aren’t even selling the ones i want! ... vinca and salvia.  I have several pots of zinnia’s that grew from seed - just waiting to grow another inch or so before i put them in the ground.
