Sorry about last night.

I got home about 5:00 and had to drive my Car to Church brothers to get it repaired. This time the car accident was in front of the house and Elliott was driving my car. the neighbor across the street backed into us. Not a lot of damage. Today I had laser surgery. My eyes have a film over the eyes that happens after Cataract surgery. My right eye was done today. It’s not as bad as Cataract surgery. I had some discomfort so I lay on the sofa when I got home. I’m posting so ‘m better. Munster was pretty good. We spent time with Josh, my cousin Linda and a friend of Mom. We are going back in June to meet with the realtor and put the Condo up for sale. We are going to visit both Bobby and Matt this summer.

Catching up!

Seems like a long time since we all have connected - so many things going on in our lives~  but looking forward to a little while at Maureen’s on Tuesday night!

I have been battling a bug for 2 weeks now….came back from the week in Minnesota and promptly got really sick on the Saturday before Mother’s Day - spent that whole weekend in bed and just now, 2 weeks later am feeling like I will recover!  What is left is poor hearing, some loss of taste and smell and just sorta blah.  But pushing forth anyway!

Celebrated Ella’s Confirmation on the 21st,  Matthew flew up from Florida which made her very happy!  She wrote an awesome Statement of Faith which she read on Sunday morning at church.  Then since Matthew was here, on Monday we celebrated Delaney’s graduation…she chose Cracker Barrel to eat at!  Matthew flew back to Florida on Tuesday.  It was great having him here after almost 2 years.

Steve went to the race yesterday, I didn’t.  So had 2 tix that were wasted.  Today I did go over to Union Chapel Cemetery to walk around the Veteran’s graves - usually lay daisies on them but they were done blooming already!

Tomorrow Steve is flying up to Minnesota, and I am driving then on Wednesday.  We will finish up with Marshall’s apartment etc.  Lots of stuff is going to Salvation Army, and then movers will pack and transport other things down to Florida and here to Taylor’s and a few things to us.  A funny feeling to dismantle a lifetime lived…..  I plan to drive down to New Ulm to visit my folks on Saturday and Sunday….my dad’s recovery from his fall is going along well.  Can’t drive again till beginning of July however - so Mother has had to resume driving after several years.  A good thing in my opinion.  Steve will drive his dad’s car back here as well.

Been trying to do some planting and gardening the past few days also!

Hope to see you all tomorrow night!

I enjoyed the Reveal and happy we are now hoping to Face-Time Monday nights!!

Susan,
I’m sorry to hear about Bill. If I can help in any way let me know since I am just around the corner. Mom, Elliott and I really enjoyed visiting with Bobby, Rachel, Asher and their family and friends. I’m sorry We can’t get together in May. I want to show you the reveal Video before I tell you the results. I’m planning on taking my Mom to Munster and leaving her alone for a few Days. I have names and numbers of friends who hopefully will check in on her. Also Eddie and Josh are close by. They both called Mom on Mother’s Day which really surprised us since we really haven’t heard much from them since Josh was here visiting.
Summer reading is almost here. I can’t believe It’s been 4 months since My Dad Passed Away!! Mom Had a tough time on their Anniversary and Mother’s Day. She was Married to him 66 !/2 years when he Died!

Bill

Thursday May 4 Day 10 in the hospital
Finally this evening Bill graduated to “eating” clear liquids. If he tolerates this ok the NG tube will be removed. He is still connected to tubes and wires and has a bed alarm. He sat up on the bedside commode and performed. This was every bit as exciting as the first time each of my kids performed and I would cheer. Big Bird would be so proud. Bill is still very weak and sleepy. He needs help to turn over or get up from the bed. It looks like the worst of it may be over and he should be going to rehab in a few days,
