A hot one!
Despite the heat… I walked 3 miles, swam 3/4 mile, and raked leaves. I couldn’t find anything I wanted to do inside - plus I had energy to burn.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

We returned around 9:00 last night. The trip was broken up by two stops near Bell Buckle Tennessee to make brief visits to the homes of my friend’s sons. Bell Buckle has a darling cafe (where we did carryouts fir lunch instead of waiting an hour to be seated. There are several darling shops with primitives, antiques, decorator items and jewelry. I was tempted by the necklaces but resisted.
We saw the three county marching bands at a performance for the parents on Thursday evening. I was quite nostalgic for John’s high school days.
That day we visted the Chicamauga Civil War battlefield(nearly 10,000 men died fighting there). It really is staggering to think of the number of fatalities.
We also got pedicures, did back to school shopping with a 13 year old and ate out several times. Good to be home.

Sounds as if it was a lovely time! You are turning into a CarolFay with your travels! (intended as a compliment CarolFay!)
Why did you resist the necklaces? If you regret it… call the store!

Great trip Susan! We spent almost a whole day at Chickamauga two springs ago (when we did our Ashville to Charlotte to Savannah and over to Chickamauga and to Shiloh and back up the Natchez Trace)and I have to say that the air is just thick with the voices and the action on those old battlefields.
Maureen, how was Food Con?

Carol…Wedding Anniversary is in January. Could have been a late Father’s Day… except Dave wouldn’t have been there that Sunday.

Another day spent doing yard work… moving the water sprinkler - and going to the pool. Hope to see someone I know at the Food Com tonight!
