Another Snow Story

Steve is snowed in at the Heathrow Airport Hilton.  He and Jarda were to fly to Brussels today but the airport is virtually shut down - they are lucky ones to have a hotel room right there unlike the thousands and thousands who are stranded at the terminals.  I wonder if he will be able to fly home on Monday as planned.  I personally can think of alot worse things than to be snowed in at a Hilton.

I did hear on the news about the unusual amount of snow in London.
Dave and I did a 5K Christmas run/walk along to downtown canal near the NCAA to benefit Animal Control/ Shelter.  We could go through the museum before or after the run and then after the run they had beer and wine tasting at the West Bank Cafe.
From there we went to Indy Winter Market down from the City Market and then to City Market, Traders Point and the grocery store - eating samples all the way!

Sue, keep us posted on the surgery. I’m going to have a mole on my back removed.

Unlike the thousands and thousands at Heathrow and other airports across Europe, Steve is a lucky flier.  I didn’t hear from him today, and his flight is winging across the ocean right now so I have to assume he is on it!  I have been reading about and seeing pictures of the situation in all the Heathrow terminals, unbelievable.  Winter air travel to cold climates is more risky than we often want to think about.
