Christmas Stories

Plumbing problems—snaked on Saturday—had to call 2 different plumbers to get a successful outcome—(after our guests arrived from Dallas).  I got conked on the nose Christmas Day reaching for something in the top of the closet, there will probably be a scar.  Our 2 first choice movies for Christmas Day were sold out, so we saw It’s Complicated.  It wasn’t.  Children’s Museum with a 4 year old yesterday, now that was fun!

Previous entry: New Year's Eve

At least you will remember this Christmas.  Life without stories wouldn’t be exciting.  What conked you on the nose?  Stitches?  Thanks for the movie review - I was actually thinking of putting it on my Netflix list.  What were the other 2 movies?

As long as I am taking vicodin and neurotin and not using my arm I am doing just fine.  What an impression I’ll make on Kevin’s girlfriend!

My Dad called - he spent Christmas Eve and Christmas night at my sisters.  He said that this was the best Christmas he could have had.  He really enjoyed being there til the “party” was over each night instead of being taken back to his place.

uffda Kate!!  I hope things are more under control by now:)  The 4 year old - was it your nephew?  So you may not have gone to the Barbie exhibit at the CM?  I wonder how it is.  But the bright star in the sky has got to be the little bundle, ready to arrive one of these days, right?  How exciting!!

Glad your dad had a good Christmas Maureen - how was yours with Rachel and Nick?  Are you saying you have to be on those meds till your surgery in February?  Just enjoy your time with Kevin and Jen - they’ll both understand!

I must have missed the conversation of Maureen’s surgery in February??!!

We did sneak into the Barbie exhibit…some lifesize mannequins with new Barbie fashions, displays of old Barbies, and some old handmade Barbie fashions by someone’s grandma…then you could dress up and walk down the fashion runway to music…not sure about that idea…computers where you could design your own Barbie fashions.  The little girls were certainly enjoying the exhibits.

Yes, hard to believe it’s only another few days until “little Lydia” arrives. (my name for her until we know what the parents have chosen.)

I’m glad all of you had good and interesting Christmas celebrations. Kate, I enjoyed It’s Complicated and I saw Shelock Holmes last night. I really liked that movie also. I’m sorry about your nose but happy you enjoyed the Barbie Exhibit. Matt mentioned he went to both the MLK and Jimmy Carter museum in Atlanta, with Jen and her parents. Bobby and I are picking Jen up, from the airport, tomorrow. Carol it sounds like you are having a very nice Holiday Season. Maureen, keep us posted when you finally meet Kevin’s Jen!
