Commencing planting
What a perfect day to start spring planting! I did put in a few perennials week before last that I got at the Blind School sale but today was my official start. Zinnia garden seeds, a pink and red mandevilla vine for the obelisk made by my dad, some scaveola for the hot front area, and more of this and that! Therapeutic. I think I’ll celebrate with a glass of wine! Also, have to mention that today is my folk’s 62nd wedding anniversary, tomorrow is Taylor and Melissa’s 11th - quite an accomplishment for both couples!!

How time does fly ... on your wedding day we are so in love - who thinks of the daily in and out routine of married life? Although single life is the same way - you just have to put up with yourself though! Congratulations to them both - to all of us!
I am considering a second round of spring planting to fill in here and there - and because when we do catch a beautiful day I want to be outside. My zinnia seeds are up - growing slowly.
Our house looks like we are moving - I’ve emptied out the hutch and curio cabinets, taken everything off the walls, and moved lamps, dining room chairs upstairs to get ready for our floor installation on Tuesday.
I am rendezvousing with a friend of Rachel’s on the east side today so he can take a bike back to her - she is doing a sprint triathlon.

Back from IL and IA. Brother is doing better—told everyone to leave him alone so he can get some rest! Grandson can say Lolo and Lola and Gigi—what fun we had playing with cars and basketballs. (You should hear him say “basketball”.) Granddaughter is smiling and adorable dressed for church in her little headband! We are so looking forward to this weekend to get some planting done and just be home. My azalea in the front is still in full bloom—it is a cloud of white petals, like a bride on her wedding day. (That’s me trying to be poetic like Carol.)

Drove to chicago for the shower on my own. Kara was supposed to attend but wasn’t feeling well. Maureen if you are out and about it would be great if you took Jack for a walk. He was quite sad to see me leave. Poor little thing. I bought hangers for the bride (per request list on Bed bathand..) I just remember the bride with a floor full of clothes so I assume they are for the groom. LOL I haven’t planted everything yet. Impatience are so tender I dread putting them in and tempting a frost. I should be back saturdeay night.
