don’t you hate it?

I am tired from taking a three hour walk with the boys in the am. I stopped briefly at Maureen’s and then walked down to 73rd. I picked up political signs to recycle. Appropriately (or Ironically) the sleeves are ideal for lining my trash buckets. then I went to JEL and got a scalp treatment for my dry scalp. Delaney (from Carmel) massaged my scalp with a cream and then I nearly fell asleep in the dryer. I also got a haircut. Then I dropped off three big bags of things to thrifty threads. I was strong and did not go in and buy more items. Slowly I am getting thngs organized and sorted but I guess that is a liftime occupation. Would you believe that I was looking at ads for parttime jobs on craigslist today? Tempting.

I lost track of CC since I was away last week, so sorry I missed it, CarolFay. My carpet was installed today and then we went to Mom’s for dinner. I enjoyed Baltimore and DC—I was reminded of meeting Carol and Delaney there however long ago that was. I walked down to the harbor from my hotel one night. I should say part of the carpet was installed today—they are coming back tomorrow to finish.

Kate, when I told Delaney that you were going to Baltimore again, she was soooo jealous!! She absolutely fell in love with that city and has since said repeatedly that she is going to live there (in one of those big condos on the waterfront) when she grows up! I think it’s all about the water taxis!
Missed you last night - but you are up next, so we can all see your new flooring and paint etc when you host us! We talked about the week after Thanksgiving.

Dec. 2nd is okay with me. Susan, do you have any puppets left?

I only have a few left: a really cool but creepy dragon head; a white rabbit emerging from a black hat; a tiny toucan; and Buzz Light Year.
My island is nearly finished. I am quite pleased with the results. But the domino effect is in full force. I am considering getting new kitchen cabinet doors and painting just about everything that is standing still in the kitchen.
A young man who lives on McCoulough is buying my motorized trike (which I never rode). He is short on cash so he is dong yard work to earn the bike.

Busy girl Susan! We went to see Dreamgirls on Friday night at the Murat - a former Counterpoint Moya Campbell has the lead part of Effie (the role that made Jennifer Hudson famous). She and the rest of the cast could sing the pants off of anyone - wow - very good production, one of the best I’ve seen come through town.
Tomorrow I’m driving over to Dayton, OH to meet a high school friend (she lives just west of Columbus, OH) for lunch. Beth has a cabin in MN and is bringing me some homegrown wild rice.
I am nearly done with two photo albums worth of pictures from our trip this summer - it has been fun reliving all the places we visited.
See you all on Thursday at CarolFay’s.
