Friday

The girls are counting down the days till Christmas and it is too close for comfort!  This evening Ella is at her final rehearsal for the Sunday School program at church tomorrow afternoon.  She has a solo to sing and is very excited about that.  Delaney, Matthew and I did a little last minute shopping after supper tonight.  Davie is wrapping some gifts.  Steve is watching a DVD of “Les Mis”  and soon Taylor will be here after collecting Ella at church, and will pick up Delaney and head back to Fishers.  Melissa put in a full day’s work at her job.  I have been busy with a million and one things, and look forward to some time tonight to just sit in the living room and relax.

Tis the season…

Singing a solo is definitely big stuff. Go Ella.

Shana gets in very late tonight so we will do all our celebrating tomorrow. Bill’s church has a 10:30 mass and he hopes some of his children go with him but usually Kara is the only one to honor his wishes. Brunch at noon, sharing gifts and a nice supper in the evening with the kids going to movies in the afternoon round out the day.

Happy festivities to all.

Elliott and I just got back from Morehead and a lovely time with Matt, Bobby, Jen and Rachel! Elliott and I stayed at a Comfort Innj. Jen, Bobby and Rachel stayed at Matt’s apartment. Dear Jen went to Black Friday to get Matt a 32 inch flat screen for him as his Chanukah gift. I told her he could now have bought one with the money he got from Cousin Bob. She said she wanted him to have it now. He will use Bob’s money for other needs. Does that sound like LOVE!! It does to me. We enjoyed seeing the campus, his office and apartment. I have lots more to tell at the next CC, like Jen’s big announcement (concerning her career). We had a great Chanukah Celebration and even Matt helped Bobby with the prayers over the candles! I was soo happy!!

Our trip to and from Roanoke went smoothly.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous!  Saturday Rachel, Dave, and Nomie (the dog) ran 10 miles along the River Walk, Kevin and I did 5 - he at a much faster pace!  I could have kept walking it was so beautiful.  This was the first Christmas that we have been together for probably 10 years - I’ll check by journal to be sure though.

The gift part of Christmas I can do without but Kevin was glad we came - some real nice family time!
