This is a beautiful long weekend we are having - too bad it really isn’t the end of summer.  We do need rain!!

I walked/jogged 5 miles this morning and then went for a 10 mile bike ride then baked lasagna, chicken casserole and coffee cake to take to Akron on the 17th.  I still need to make a blueberry strata and peanut butter chocolate chip bars. I also made a quick trip to Penney’s - mens knit shirts for $8.00 - down from 26.

Worth the trip no matter how you look at it Susan!  Did Bill mention that I phoned you on Saturday - the girls were here and we wanted to know if we could spin by and pick up the Pollies and dolly clothes.  We’ll try again this Saturday, and I will ring you first.

Nice food Maureen, I’m sure it will be very appreciated!

I have been walking and riding my bike everyday.  Today I wogged (walk/jogged) 7 miles and rode my bike 7.  Yesterday I rode 15 - the hill coming up Kessler to Fox Hill is a real challenge!

I am trying to lose 5 lbs - to be gained back the night we go to Best Chocolate.  I am also actually thinking of doing the running leg of the triathlon in Akron.

This weather just inspires me!

Good for you, Maureen.  We’re going to Iowa for the weekend—Matt’s church has a golf scramble that Bill will participate in.  I will just be playing with the babies!

I had the same feeling today. I think it is the weather. Made the doggies walk for over an hour and then they got to ride for the final 15 minutes.

Retirement is great for staying up late to finish a book. Last night I was up until 5:00am finishing The Help for book club. It is fiction and quite a good read. It tells about the lives of black domestics in Jackson Mississippi in the early 60’s and the womaen they served.

Carol sorry Bill is not a reliable passer-on of information.I will have the items in a bag by the door. I spent $5 total. I might be at the Nora library tonight to pick up some holds so I could swing by your house to drop it off.

Susan - you could have walked my way.  After not getting a good nights sleep the night before, taking Dave to the airport at 8 AM, and all the exercise I had done in the days prior - I sat and read a book all day.

Today I plan to be more productive!
