Honor flight and more

I am finally getting the Picasa album on here - it includes some of the sorting and cleaning out at my folk’s and the Honor Flight etc.

Here is a neat news story from the local TV station in Rochester: http://www.kttc.com/story/15647794/rochesters-last-honor-flight-underway-in-washington-dc#.TpGxMK58utA.facebook

Next entry: Welcome back Sun!

Some very nice colors… the bird and the trees coming into Indy.  I do believe your dad’s eyes looked a little watery!  It must have been amazing at the airport… goosebumps.

Are we getting together this Thursday?

Yes, there were definitely tears in many eyes that night!  I do believe that many of the Vets felt transported in time - as did all of us who were welcoming them home.  I sincerely wish that the rest of my own family could have joined me that night.

Is anyone up for hosting CC on Thursday? I am too lazy to go find my list and see who’s turn it would be!

Excellent story telling with photos. Anybody up for a Starbucks (OR?) trip this evening?

I can be at Starbucks - do we need a quorum to make it official?  If I can dig up everyone’s email, I will shoot one out.

We had a friend from Chicago staying with us and we visited the IMA for a few hours and went to lunch at Dawsons in Speedway and then on to the race museum.  For lunch I had the most delicious pot roast sandwich. Layered on top of the tasty meat was grilled mushrooms and onions and provolone cheese. This hearty lunch on a blustery day was perfect.

Kara and I are going to the St. Vincent sale the first thing in the morning. So between a busy day and then an early rising, I am just as glad to stay home.
