Kate, now I remember where I read about the accident you saw at Yellowstone

I always read the online version of the Minneapolis Star - you would think I would remember because the fellow was from Minnesota.  Very sad for the family,  and traumatic for you and Bill to witness it.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. - A motorcyclist from Minnesota was killed when he crashed head-on with a motor home at Yellowstone National Park.

Park officials say 42-year-old Dale Payne, Jr., of Burtrum, Minn., was killed instantly Wednesday afternoon when his Harley-Davidson crossed the centerline and hit the oncoming vehicle.

A young girl riding in a sidecar on Payne’s motorcycle was thrown from the vehicle and suffered injuries. The park didn’t release her name. The girl was in stable condition at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

The girl was wearing a helmet, but investigators have not yet determined whether Payne was wearing a helmet found at the scene.

Wednesday’s death marked the second fatal motorcycle accident at Yellowstone this summer.

Excellent desert last night. Very refreshing. Thanks for the hospitality. After such a late night I ended getting up at 6:39a to take out the dogs before heading to the rummage sale.

My uncle(who passed away many years ago) injured his foot in a cycle accident and had to purchase special (expensive) shoes because of the deformity it caused. I remember my mom telling me that he had to pay $100. Because of that I have always been leery of motorcycles but I did ride on one once in college. Another time I refused to get on because my then boyfriend didn’t have insurance. We broke up as a result. I said I would rather take the bus than ride on that thing.
He said forget about it and left.

I may have a new hobby: buying things to resell on ebay. Kara knows the market (she has a keen fashion sense and has studied what is selling and will help me.)Of course I haven’t told her yet. The difficult part is that little old ladies do not buy clothes on ebay. So clothing that I like is not necessarily what sells. But in the meantime I am going to look at a kitchen island to buy tomorrow,

I bought the island and another project. It is bare wood so I will be selecting paint and probably polyurethane. Kitchen furniture moving will be required.
