Let it Rain
This weather has been fabulous but I need some rain so that I can get the house cleaned, read some books, sleep in, and vegetate! Today Dave and I did a 45 mile bike ride in Hope, IN…south of Shelbyville. It benefited their food pantry… don’t ask me how because the registration was only $20 and for that there was 4 rest stop with great snacks, grilled chicken sandwiches (ohh so tender), pasta salad, bean, fruit for lunch, and a root beer float at the end. When the wind was in our face I could swear I was only going to do 20 miles but then we would pick up a tail wind and we were just zooming along these country roads and I would think… maybe we can do the 100 miles!
We then went to hear Maureen McGovern at the POPS concert (she sang There’s Got to Be a Morning After oh so long ago!) - thankfully she didn’t sing it tonight! They played music from the 60’s - tv show tunes from My 3 Sons, Hawaii 5-0, etc.

Barb called ... she will have the next CC at her house on October 1st.
Other news ... she met the landlord as she was going into Stephen’s house in Bloomington. Apparently the house is a mess etc etc. So she went in and yelled at the boys - Stephen was upstairs.

Sounds like both of you ladies had an adventurous weekend! Car noise doesn’t sound too promising Susan. I’m sure Barb will have a great update on “the house” at next CC!

Wow Maureen that is so energetic. I got little exercise this weekend but did have a busy day. On Friday I drove to Warsaw and set up may stuff for the Saturday sale. We went out to the boathouse restaraunt for supper and sat outside overlooking the lake. It was a beautiful night. June woke me up at 6:30 to have breakfast and pull stuff out of the garage. We were busy all day and the total of eight people was over $800. I made $40 so at least I paid for my gas. The important thing was that I had fun. or maybe it was that I got rid of junk. I sold my chandelier for $11. the return trip was harrowing because if I drove over 45 the car woblled and knocked loudly. Tomorrow I will have to take it in. If the weather is good next Saturday I will do a sale at my house. Talk to me if you want to participate. But in any case try to stop in so you can help me pass the time.
