Lincoln and Oasis
Last night Gloria and I went down to IRT to see “The Heavens Were Hung in Black” (a Lincoln play) - very good. I won the tickets last week in the “Free Night of Theater 2009” giveaway online. This afternoon I have been over to Greenbriar for a little Oasis Tutors meeting, and to meet our students. As luck would have it, mine had gone home sick after lunch! I will meet her next Thursday (hopefully she won’t be a frequent absentee) and get started with the program. I have really enjoyed this the past two years, and it’s always exciting to begin again with a new student. In other news, I think I would like to have a sunny day again tomorrow or Sunday!

She had most of the symptoms and when she had to make a late night trip to the ER near the end of her week long illness, for excrutiating ear ache (majorly infected ear) the doctors didn’t mention testing for the H1N1. I am so thankful she recovered, in light of other 6 year olds who died from that virus.

Carol, I am very happy Ella is over the flu. It’s sad that this flu is so bad for young children. I tried to get a free flu shot at Riley, Thursday, but they ran out by then time I took the people mover to Methodist. I did get my TB shot and the result was negative. Susie Speedy read it for me tonight. Since I worked today I hope tomorrow is Sunny so I can enjoy it!

Joy joy Ella flu-orishes. Some young people are so casual about the flu but that is not prudent. There was an interview on TV with an otherwise healthy 30 ear old who was in a coma for a month. I hope all our adult children stay healthy.
Al has a birthday and we are having a supper before the football game.

Speaking of sick ... did Ella have H1N1 when she was sick?
