News from the Weekend

At 6:30 am I was wondering why we signed up for the 5 K Santa Hustle but once we got downtown I was glad we did.  An invigorating run - 11 minute miles.  I thought there were buckeyes at the end but it was chocolate covered cherries.  We then went to Whole Foods where they were having their holiday sample dinner. Then home to do our own baking - pumpernickel bread and cookies.

I certainly admire your dedication to good health…both exercise and healthy eating. I walk my dogs daily but need to do better in both exercise and eating healthy.

John arrived tonight. His flight from New York was actually 30 minutes early but fortunately we had checked so Bill had headed out there early. John had a good flight across the pond. He managed to get an empty row of three seats and slept most of the way(sleeping in transport has always been one of his talents).

That’s great to have John home.  Yes, Maureen, I also applaud your dedication to good health over the years.  Unfortunately, it means you may be the permanent hostess of CC when the rest of us aren’t up to it!

I leave for FL on Wednesday, return on the 25th.  I wish all of my CC friend a happy holiday season.

Flurry of activity all around!  Hope you find lots of sun and warmth in FL Kate.  Enjoy John’s visit Susan (will Shana be here at all?).  Keep up the good work Maureen - you are fortunate to have a like-minded partner!!

It is a Plumber’s Morning here - we have a blockage in the one bathroom pipeline to the sewer.  A total Science Fair fixing spree thus far!!

Shana will be here on the 24th and stay through Thursday. We hit the shops after Christmas. John has to work tomorrow.
John cleaned out the gutters today. >He is so appreciative for meals,He doesn’t cook much.

I woke in the middle of the night with my shoulder throbbing. I iced it and managed to fall back asleep. I went swimming today.

Happy holidays to all.
