PT news
I had my session today for my sore shoulder. The outcome was positive. The therapist said that my shoulders(especially the left) were sore because they were so tight.i.e.lack flexibility. Uon moving my shoulder the tendons get pinched. When my shoulder hurt I avoided using it which diminished the range of motion and then exasperated the tightness. So she started me on stretching exercises.and I am optimistic that I will make good progress.
We have had a lovely visit with John and Shana. John received a smart phone and purchased a Kindle so he has been busy trying to figure them out. Shana stayed at kara’s and we really didn’t see much of her. Margie is not having surgery until March. CC here next week

I have been meaning to try Tulip Noir Cafe - it is in the strip mall by Wall Greens and Boston Market at 86th and Ditch. From the street all I could see was the sign and wasn’t even sure what the store was. I finally stopped… picked up menu of sorts - since the menu changes they don’t have a paper copy but you can see it on line. It sounds very good… tulipnoircafe.com

Glad to hear your Christmas visits from John and Shana were nice - our visits continue over here. Matthew has stayed on this week, Davie went back to Cleveland on Monday and is headed back here tonight. So we have had Taylor, Delaney and Ella here alot - right now there is Epic Nerf Gun Wars going on down in the basement, low lights and fog machine to accentuate the mood. Delaney also got a Kindle.
Maureen, yes it can be hard to mesh everyone’s gifting ideas - I usually default to the generous side of my nature. Definitely the most important is being together, but sometimes that is a “given” even when it has been many years since the last together time. Definitely it is more fun to buy for grandchildren than adult children, hope you all experience that in the years to come!!
I have been to Tulip Noir probably half a dozen times, for breakfast, but not the past year at all. It’s always good, if a tad overpriced. One nice touch is the french press coffee at your table.

Giving and receiving gifts can be stressful. We buy very little especially since the Christmas a few years ago when my eldest was effusive in her disdain for her gifts(left them sitting on the couch). Now I pick up little things throughout the year (a free Vera Bradley bag for kara; and then we give very generous checks.) In fact John got next to nothing but then after Christmas I take him clothing shopping.
I had my chiro appt and massage today and then return to the PT tomorrow. I went to the PT following a visit to my new MD. For insurance to cover the visit there needs to be a doctor script. My insurance does not really cover PT starting in January (i.e., a $100 copay which is the same price for private pay) so I figured I better get a few sessions in before then. Next year I will shop around for a new plan.
John, Shana and Kara all went karioking last night. They got together several times..often without the rents. Kara took shana to the airport this am and John leaves tomorrow morning. I did some grocery shopping today and got a few deals at Big Lots and Kroger.

I thought Tulip Noir was fine but overpriced. The food was fine but our serving of pricy scone was skimpy.

Just floating an idea…Thursday at 7 at the Corner Wine Bar 6331 Guilford Ave… women on wine series. A female wine expert, wine and light appetizers. registration required… $15. Or a nice cozy relaxed gathering at Susan’s?

So did the chiropractor suggest a PT or did you go on your own? I hate all this ailments!
I also hate the gift giving part of Christmas - Kevin gets more excited about gifts (giving and receiving) than Dave, Rachel or me and so gets disappointed when we don’t meet his expectations. I like to keep things simple and just enjoy time together. I think next year we will establish some gift giving policy so we are all on the same page.
Did John see much of Shana?
When will our “children” understand?
I’ll be there Thursday.
