RAIN RAIN GO AWAY

At least the weekend was pleasant!  We have reached the saturation point in the yard after all the rain so that after this rain we now have standing water by the shed.  Should be interesting what the weather continues to be the rest of the summer.
No plans for the week except sleep later than I usually do since Dave is in Calgary.  He showed up at the airport 12 hours early for his flight.  He thought it departed at 6:30 AM ...

Dave didn’t stay at the airport then did he?!  Getting to the airport to catch a flight that early is no fun in my book!  We leave at 11:30 am on Friday, which is a more civilized time -haha.  Although Delaney wishes it wasn’t a nonstop - she loves to do connecting flights! Ella doesn’t like flying that much, as she always says her ears “get puffy”.

We have standing water in the back corners of our yard.  Just heard that more rain is on the way overnight.

No, he got to work nice and early!
Things to be thankful for ... a dry basement and sump pumps!
Certainly didn’t need to be collecting rain in our barrels this year!  Looks as if on the next dry day though I’ll be cutting grass.  I ask some random person walking by or a neighbor to start the lawnmower for me.

Go for the bumps Carol!

We definitely have standing water in our backyard. We are picking Matt up, from the airport, tomorrow night, around 10:00 PM. He is coming back from the college world series, in Omaha. Bobby has a couple of days off and happens to have, baseball veteran, Razor Shine’s son on his team. Razor gave Bobby and the two other coaches tickets to a Mets game (Razor is a Mett’s coach)! So today the three coaches went to NYC to see a baseball game. Elliott starts NC summer school tomorrow. I hope, when it’s over, we can go to Pittsburgh for a long weekend to see Jen, Alex and a Pirate"s game

Bill and I watched world Cup soccer in the morning. I didn’t take the dogs for their walk until 12:00. It was sooooo sticky out. Then I went to my swim class at JCC. There was a record 21 women in the pool.  In the evening I drown beetles. After being out for 30 minutes I was soaked from the heat. The raspberries are done for the year. Next up are the apples.
