Segal update

I enjoyed the movie Crazy Stupid love, with Steve Carrell. Judy and I went last week. Then I tried to see Harry Potter but got the time mixed up so just went to lunch with my friend Susie. We will try this Sunday to see HP. Busy at work with the end of SRP. We moved the reading prizes to the reference desk and I’m in charge of ordering the prizes for the next two weeks. I like the new Manager, Melissa even though I do miss Sharon, the old manager. This month my story times theme is flutterby. It has tto do with flying insects and bubbles. Both Bobby and Matt have come to see Glendale and really like the branch. I still am not a permanent Glendale employee and probably won’t know until October!
Bobby made it to his apartment in Texas. He drove, today, from Iowa. He hopes to start his job next week. Matt is moving, from his apartment, in Glendale, to a basement room( he will have his own bathroom and shower) in a four bedroom house on the South side of indy. His current roommate is moving to Florida.
Elliott has had the week off. Friday and some of next week he will be teaching driver’s Ed. He will start NC sports and Subbing Aug. 15th.

Sounds as if it is transition time for everyone in your family… end of summer/beginning of school.

I am pooped from cooking two company meals in one week. Bill’s sister and hubby stayed overnight in on their way to a Cincinatti wedding(cheaper to fly here and then drive the rest of the way plus they get our company). I grilled salmon and veggies and had fresh tomatoe and basil salad followed by kahlua milkshakes. Then we played cards until midnight. The next morning we met Kara and Al and Katies son and girlfriend (who had flown in at midnight and stayed at a hotel) for brunch on Mass ave. They all headed for Cincinatti and we will see them again on Sunday for a few hours. I took a three hour nap this afternoon.
CF sounds like you are a good busy.
Kate was this an extended family reunion?
Maureen how does your garden grow?

fun times all!

We went to the Minnesota Zoo today, not the traditional kind of zoo - quite an experience. Yesterday was lunch at a tearoom with my lifelong friend Glor.  Minnesota History Center the day before that.  One more day here in the Land of Sky Blue Waters tomorrow, then we fly back south early Sunday morning.

No date in place for CC - maybe we should try for one more Starbucks and then get back on track?

Doesn’t sound as if the heat is keeping any of us from doing things!

Susan… zucchini plants look as if they aren’t going to make it, cucumbers are okay, we are watching our neighbors tomatoes - think something is eating ours.  I should have taken a patten (sp?) out on those kahlua milkshakes!

We went to Symphony on the Prairie last night… Michael Cavenaugh and the music of Billy Joel and Elton John. It was a pleasant evening.

Anyone know of an independently owned cafe or someplace besides Starbucks we can go to?

I hope to go to Symphony on the Prairie next week. Beatles music. I hope to see Harry Potter tomorrow. This week I’m picking Jen up from the airport ( girl’s dinner out while Matt and Elliott work) and take friend Kitzi to the airport after we have lunch. I can’t think of a coffee house, besides, Starbucks, nearby.
