Sorry about last night
Matt ran late ( he was helping Elliott’s parents, with their house, for two hours) so he didn’t get to Outback until 8:00. We talked alot and then went to the Drugstore. Maureen, there is a scrabble group that meets Friday mornings at Pike. Kathy, did you and Barb tell Sue about her sister? What are all of your Father’s Day plans? Since the boys are out of town we plan to clean the yard and rest. I am going to Jersey Boys, at Murat, tomorrow. Elliott hasn’t mentioned anything with his parents. I’m going to Munster around the 1st of July for about five days. We will, go to the Taste of Chicago, a gambling boat, etc.and celebrate birthdays and holidays. Elliott will stay home.

What scrabble group? did I miss something?
CarolFay are you sure a certain basketball championship didn’t interfere with your attendance? I saw the last part which is the most important. Quite exciting although I didn’t care who won. Our 11 year old nephew in Colorado has been getting up at 5:30 mornings in order to watch the world cup. Ah sports fans.
The wedding is next weekend. Can I lose the ten pounds that I gained on vacation by Saturday?
John has departed. We had a goodbye dinner Friday. We are sad. He is too far away.
The Japanese beetles have arrived in full force so for the next few weeks I will get up early to knock their littl asses into a cup full of soapy water. Take that you buggers.
Saturday I have volunteered to donate breast tissue for a study. I am not sure what the biopsy will entail but I hope it is quick.
I have my first team member in UWAL (United Walkers Against Litter). It is my brother in law in Colorado. His wife bought him a cart complete with two big containers for trash. He also is planning on getting a lap dog.

Susan, In Carol Fay’s post she said that there is a scrabble group that meets Friday’s at Pike. Is your brother in law an official member since he wife BOUGHT him a cart? It is great for our children to be independent enough to live out of state - out of country - I guess we did our job too well as parents! Think they will ever realize how hard it is for us though?
I gave Dave a relaxing (?) weekend. We still did our chores but I made the meals. It was pleasant enough to eat in the gazebo.

Maureen I have been going every year, with my sister and her family, for at least five years. Eddie really likes it. we are planning on going this year. Parking is very expensive. $25 last year.
I read Saturday or Dog program (therapy dogs with handlers com for a couple of hours and one child reads to a dog for 15 min) was a big hit. Doriene said when there wasn’t a child signed for a 15 min. session they sat at the reference desk or even listened to Reading Giants read to younger childre. I will be in charge of it the sec. Sat, in July.
I really enjoyed seeing Jersey Boys and eating dinner at Athens yesterday.

Taste is very popular to the point that one needs to avoid the area when it is closing up because of the heavy traffic, I have never been because I dislike the crowds.
I sat and read all day today. I had a book that needs to be returned to the library. Most of the time all three dogs were on the couch with me.

Steve is driving home tomorrow, and then we will be flying back up with the girls on Friday! We are planning an activity for each day, along with spending time probably twice each day at his folks. His mom is feeling better, thankfully. We will be back on July 1. Then only a month till we leave for Europe.

Busy busy - as usual. I’ll have to call about the scrabble group - see if anyone can come.. thanks. Didn’t you go to the Taste last year - and I’m trying to remember if you liked it or thought that it was too hot, too crowded, etc.
Next CC is at Susan’s on July 8th.
