Sorry Didn’t make it to Sue’s
I had a great weekend with Josh. I ca’n believe it’s almost a week ago. Bobby surprised us and is in town for two weeks. One week is almost over and we have seen hime once. He is staying with Rachel and scouting baseball during the day. I work all weekend and hope to see Bobby to celebrate his birthday. Where is CC this week. I’ll try harder to come this time. I just had too much to do before Josh’s visit. I have som good library stories. Summer Reading is now in Full Swing. Glendale has a Magnet program tomorrow.

Next entry: I know it's the qualityof time but it's hard.
Previous entry: Poetry Plus Tuesday
Barb and I played telephone tag. Barb is not able to have cc in the planned future. She indicated that life is one day at a time. she wants to be kept loosely in the loop but with no expectations that she can participate. She is having a rough time of it. Who is up next?
CF I hope you get to spend some quality time with Bobby. Our children don’t realize our viewpoint our love needs to be met with a little attention. John will be here for the whole month of July. I am deligted that he is staying with us but usually when he leaves I am glad he is gone.
We spent the day in Columbus with margie and Jim and took the bus tour of the architectural gems. we ate at a couple of yummy restaurants and spent the afternoon playing bridge. I wanted to go to stream cliff gardens for lunch and visit the TC Steele house and garden but no takers. Any of you up for a day trip to do that???
Kara and I did our usual Saturday morning tour of homes. Always a treat.

I enjoyed Stream Cliff Gardens when we went the last time, a few years agao. I would go again but it would have to be on a Friday I’m off. I’ll look at my schedule for July. The rest of June is crazy with Father’s Day, Donna and Shel’s celebration for my birthday (next Sat a Food Tour) and then going to Munster and Chicago around the 4th of July. I work a six day in a row shift, starting today, so I’m not up to having CC, sorry!

Ouch… we just checked air fares to fly to Philly for an uncle’s funeral. We were spoiled. I think we are going to drive - leave Thursday night and spend it in Akron, visit with my Dad Friday morning and then drive the rest of the way to Philly. We’ll do a straight through home on Sunday. So - I won’t be able to have CC this week.
My uncle apparently died 3 weeks ago - the neighbor called police who broke open the door and took him to the morgue. They claim they couldn’t find any information about who to call. My other uncle had last visited him on May 6th, the police came May 15th, my uncle went back to visit June 8th and the neighbor told him to call the police. If the police had checked his mail they would have seen a card from me that should have arrived about that time.
Rachel did another 1/2 marathon this weekend in Carmel because she didn’t like her time last weekend. She was able to cut 10 minutes off. We then swam laps at the pool before she left.

Stream Cliff would be fun again - let’s see if we can come up with a day works! Columbus trip sounded fun Susan!
What a story about your uncle’s death Maureen - that’s the kind of thing you read about in the paper! We will be on the road Thursday as well, taking the girls up to Cedar Point, spending the day there on Friday with Matthew and Davie (just back from their Alaskan Cruise, free, through Davie’s work) and then over to Cleveland on Saturday to Sunday. Maybe we can do a Starbucks night again, Thursday after this one?

Starbucks sounds good next Thurs. An Alaskan Cruise is the one I would love to take, some day!

We think it is Barb’s turn for CC - Susan was going to get in touch with her.
Sounds like a fun time with your nephew and also when you went to visit Bobby. How fun that he surprised you and came home for a visit.
