Sorry I won’t be at CC

I have sooo much to tell about the two Memorials, for Bob, and the GOOD NEWS about Matt and Boby (work related, ladies. Don’t get too excited! LOL) Today Donna and I are getting together to go over our plans for Pittsburgh after our Tai Chi class. I took off two days for the memorial I have today and tomorrow off, I work two days then have four days in Pittsburgh. I can get used to working two and tree day weeks. In October Elliott and I hope to visit Matt, during Elliott’s fall break, in Kentucky. A Texas trip will have to be next Spring. Not doing much for Labor Day. Are any of you?

Next entry: new day at work

Previous entry: A hot one!

It is good that you were able to go up home for your cousin’s funeral CarolFay - very hard and sad to say goodbye to our relatives and friends at our ages.  Wonderful about the jobs for your boys!!  And then your trip to Pittsburgh too.

Fun times around here - Matthew drove down from Cleveland last Tuesday - Davie came in on Friday after a meeting in Orlando.  Lots of eating and visiting and catching up!  This morning Delaney made buttermilk pancakes, bacon (with assistance), yogurt and granola parfaits and coffee cake.

I will be at CC on Thursday.

I may take a one week job as a preschool SLP doing diagnostics. I don’t have any details yet.

John sent us the following message: ...I’m going to be doing some other travelling soon as well - they want me to not only go to London, but also Amsterdam and Stockholm to deliver some training to the premium service teams there.  I will be going either next month or in November.

Go for it Susan!

Yea for John - I love London and Amsterdam, got close to Stockholm when we were in Copenhagen last summer, but didn’t make it across the border.

Really late notice for anyone reading here: Poetry Plus is tonight at 7:30 pm at Pilgrim Luth. Church library.  Sharon Harvey is presenting “Luci Shaw:  The Crime of Living Cautiously”.

Dave and I went to Butler to hear Sr. Helen Prejean speak… she is the nun who advocates for the end to the death sentence, wrote (and lived) Dead Man Walking.  She was an excellent speaker!  It wasn’t until she was 41 that she had her awakening as she put it… got to admire people who are so passionate and dedicated to a cause.

Bet that was a good program Maureen.  I read her book (after I watched the movie) and also saw a PBS show about her.  Quite a woman.  I saw that she was going to be in town, but didn’t pay attention to when.  Wouldn’t have mattered I guess, since I had Poetry last night.
