Symphony Happy hour

Ladies,
Have you ever gone to symphony happy hour? For $20 you get food, drink and an listen to the Symphony for an hour!! I went, Thursday, at 5:00, and had a great time! The next one is in Feb. I had a Blueberry beer that was delicious ( everything is sample size but there is no limit!!) Last night was a NC basketball game. Bobby and Rachel were there also. Matt and Elliott worked. Tonight is a Pacer game and tomorrow is the Colt (on TV not live!) I will be ready for a movie, next week, after three sporting events in a row!! I called Raquel, about next week, but haven’t heard anything. I left a message, of course!

Next entry: Raquel called

Previous entry: Weekend

I’ve heard about it but never have been.  I do know that the symphony is selling tickets for the rest of its performances for I believe $20 - no food but more music.

Keep me updated on movies - I keep a list for netflix.  Did you see Leap Year?

I saw Leap Year and really enjoyed it. It is definitely a CHICK FLICK. Barb and I saw it as an Early Bird Special, only $5.00 before noon on the weekends at Keresotes. I saw Lovely Bones and liked it even though it was depressing. I liked the story but didn’t like how the after life was portrayed (limbo)!

I read the book and the reviews of the movie were disappointing so I didn’t put Lovely Bones on my list.  The reviews for Leap Year weren’t good either but I may put it on my list for the scenery in Ireland.

I have 8 foreign and or documentary films on reserve at the library - to watch after my surgery.  Carol Hatfield - I also have Doubt on reserve.  I am not really keen on watching it but you asked me to!

I really liked Up in the Air as much as Leap Year.
After three sporting events ( Including watching the Colts) I might go to a movie tomorrow. I either want to see a Single Man or Crazy Love. We saw a friend, this morning, who had brain surgery, and will go to the Shiva house, after the Colts game, for Mo Meshulam’s father. He passed away Monday.

I finished my first round of video transfer, and today I will start the large videocassettes we took with our first video camera.  I have been to Curves this morning in the pretty snow, a new layer of it would be nice.

We had a birthday brunch here yesterday after church - Taylor turned 30 on Saturday.  Even Delaney and Ella had fun with that one!!

Yes, I too had read unfavorabable review of The Lovely Bones, so I will probably let the enjoyment from reading the book be enough.  We are still working on the stack of blue ray and regular DVD’s from Christmas, including two series “Rumpole of the Bailey” (I watched that faithfully on PBS Mystery for years) and the Planet Earth set.  And of course our Netflix.

Carolfay, I saw that Mr. Meshulam had died.  I’m sure he will be terribly missed by Mrs. Meshulam, they seemed very close.

We watched the games yesterday, of course the one we cared about didn’t turn out the way we wanted!  The overtime was a nail biter!!

Good thing Carol that the Vikings didn’t win because then you would be conflicted as to who to root for in the Super Bowl! Dave was rooting for Green Bay until they roughed up Brett (however you spell his last name)then decided he wanted the Vikings to win.

I fear that Carol would not have been conflicted. We enjoyed the games.

Maureen!!!  Susan, you are so right.  No conflict problem at our house.  It has been the first football season in a long while that I have been interested in watching the game (by that I would always mean “the Vikes games”)every Sunday.

However, now that the Vikes aren’t in the SP we can be for the Colts, but mainly because of the punk quarterback bashing play of the Saints.

Elliott surprised me with a Dallas Clark Jersey, yesterday! I always wanted a Jersey. Do you realize the last play where the Saints intersepted the Vikes, was Tracy Porter, A IU Grad and Cortney Robey ( from NC and IU) Plays for NO. What I’m trying to say is I’m a Colts fan all the way but if the STs win I wouldn’t be crushed.
