His “Wierd” news apparently is that he no longer has a girlfriend. Carol Fay there was no “embassy” news but I wrote to him that I considered contacting the embassy if we didn’t hear from him. John said he will be watching the Superbowl there because he doesn’t have to work on Monday am. Bill and I are planning a “quiet” night at home watching the Superbowl. Several of our entertaining party-giving friends will be out of town and we aren’t in the mood to throw a party(partly because I couldn’t handle the late night) I hope the
Colts blow the Bears out so I can go to bed calmly and early. After the championship game I was so psyched that I couldn’t fall asleep for the longest time. Saturday night Bill and I celebrate 39 years.

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007Health
Monday, January 29th, 2007Be thankful if you and yours are of good health, relatively speaking. I just had news of my niece’s husband who suffered a heart attack and is in the hospital in serious condition. He is maybe 30 years old, has a 3 yr old and 1 yr old. My niece just lost her mother (my brother’s first wife) last fall and the grandparents within that same year. I hope the doctors will be able to save his life.
The other sad news is my cousin’s husband - the one you reviewed the book for Maureen - has grown worse and worse and is about to have hospice care. His was esophageal cancer, then liver, and lastly tumors behind his eyes. He is in his 50’s.
On a brighter note, our old friends from Minneapolis are to visit us this week. We have known them since Matthew and Ethan were 4 months old, and lived walking distance apart. I will cherish the time together!
Dining Room
Sunday, January 28th, 2007All walls are painted, new chandelier up and furniture arranged. Just need to figure out wall decorations. Ah. We heard from John earlier this week saying that I didn’t need to contact the embassy. He claimed he would send an e-mail soon. I’m waiting…
Thursday Night
Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007Anyone want to RSVP here for Thursday night at my house? Thanks.
Redo Report
Monday, January 22nd, 2007I have decided against having the cabinets painted. It was to cost about $2500. I am having the painters do the kitchen and hallways ceilings and fix several cracks. And also have them do the basement stairway walls and ceiling. That will be around $900. (The estimate to paint the family room ceiling was $675. which I thought was quite high.) Then I will paint the kitchen myself. I am still waiting for the front hallway paper and the kitchen border to come in at Lowes - have the old paper all stripped.
Have been to see Curse of the Golden Flower and The Queen. Especially liked Helen Mirren as HRM Elizabeth!!
Today
Sunday, January 21st, 2007I am going to see Night at the Museum, going to asee the first hour of the Trinity Dancers at PFA and then watch the Colt’s game. Matt is working the game and Bobby got a ticket from Kevin Anderson who is a NEP intern. Kevin’s girlfriend couldn’t go so Bobby was offered the ticket. Bobby has one more week working at North View. Since I no takers on Tuesday’s Pike book club I have another event you that might interest you. A friend of Donna has started a TEA club. there are 16 women that get together, the third Saturday of the month and go somewhere for, tea, lunch, tours, etc. Yesterday We went to Fort Harrison. Three of the women used to work there before it was turned into a park. We toured the building where there offices, an autopsy room and a morgue, to name a few rooms, were. A paranormal group was coming, last night. Places in the fort building are rumored to be haunted.
Last month the group went to Martinsville and toured the Jail.
Anyone interested?

Dancing with the Stars is 7:30 tomorrow night. Did I tell you Elliott is going with my Mom, Sister and Me? Are friend Neil’s Mom passed away, from Cancer, Sunday night. Elliot and I went to South Bend, yesterday, to be with Neil and Dora. She was 83. She and her Husband had just celebrated their 60th Anniversary. He is 89.
Yeah Colts
Sunday, January 14th, 2007We did it without a touchdown! We hope NE wins so the next game is here, but it would be a big upset. SD has the best record! Matt is in Chicago. He just finished doing Bear’s Stats for ABC radio. Elliott’s Dad heard his name mentioned on the radio. Bobby is in Cincy looking for apartments. We is staying with an IU baseball player, in Cincy. His future roommate, Sam, will meet with him, tomorrow. I am happy CC is Jan. 25th. This Thursday is Dancing with the Stars, at Conceco. I can’t wait.

To Paint or Not to Paint
Thursday, January 11th, 2007I am getting some estimates on having my kitchen cabinets painted as part of my kitchen project (new wall paint and border). Our cabinets on Delbrook were painted, probaby a do it yourself job and they held up fairly well, although I did have to do some touch ups now and then.
Any CC thoughts or opinions or experiences on this?

Monday, January 8th, 2007Looks like we’re having a small wedding in February. Parents, Grandparents, siblings, and best friends only!
Maureen and Sue
Sunday, January 7th, 2007Do either of you know Beth Tindel who just past away from endrometeosis Cancer ( I know I didn’t spell it right but I was too tired to look it up) Her viewing, Monday, is at St. Monicas so I thought you might know her. She was a Library clerk, then got her MLS and had just started working as a librarian at Eagle when she got sick. She was only 51, married and has a son in his twenties. I worked with her when I subbed at Pike, before I got my promotion.
Paint for Sue
Friday, January 5th, 2007Sue, if you’re still interested in a soft green for your dining room, I have an unopened gallon of Silver Sage paint from Restoration Hardware (their most popular color, by the way). You can look at it on the wall in my bedroom. I would love for it to have a happy home.
Sweet Land today
Monday, January 1st, 2007I hope all of you had a great New Years eve, even if you just stayed at home, like Elliott and I did! I worked Friday Saturday and Sunday so it felt good just staying home, last night. Friday night I ran to the NC basketball tournament after work ( Elliott and Matt worked the tournament and Bobby was there watching ( like me but not sitting with Mom)the NC boys and girls winning the tournament. Saturday night I ran to the Pacer game, after work, with Donna. Then we watched the last of the IU-BSU basketball game at her house. Since I can’t go Thursday to see Sweet Land, today, with my friend Kitzi. Maureen, I would check the times. It says 4:45 in the paper. That’s when we are going. I’ll let you know what I think about it. Did I tell you Bobby got an intership with the Reds? He goes to Sarasota, Florida in Feb., for three months. Then he is in Cincinnati until the end of baseball season. It is a paid internship. I’ll tell you more when I see you.
