Which one first?
Dave’s parents had $300. for magazine subscriptions on their charge which they had already paid before they told Dave they didn’t know what they were doing when they got them. (my words not theirs).
After Dave was unsuccessful in talking with the magazine subscription service I tried… confident of my powers of persuasion. Asking them to do the right thing and what if it were your grandmother speeches soon deteriorated to how can you live with yourself, how can you feel good about yourself (response: every time I take my paycheck to the bank, my husband and I made $65,000 last year).
From there it went to discovering her name was Ginger… I remarked that I have a dog named Ginger. I didn’t actually compare her to my dog or say what sex my dog is but I think she got the idea. Then to clarify her name I said, like Ginger the air head on Gilligan’s Island?
You laughing yet? I did call VISA and even though the charge has been paid they will put it in dispute. I then called the Magazine Processing Center which processed order from this company and asked what they would do when they are notified of the dispute. They said they just charge it back to the magazine company. So it sounds as if I saved my in-laws $300. VISA did say that there are more charges on the next bill already.
Too bad when I called Ginger back to let her know that I won she saw on caller id who it was and just picked up the phone and put me on hold.
Now … this morning when I rode the bus (2nd day this week and scheduled to ride on Thurs), the substitute bus driver asked me where to pick up this one wheel chair kid! The reason there was a sub was because the driver the other day ended up fainting at a stop. The aide that day called 911 and the bus load of kids had to wait for the ambulance and another bus driver. They were 30 minutes late to school.
Today we just drove through N. Willow looking for this kid before the sub called transportation to ask for the street name where the child lived. Then we were at Spring Mill and 91st St. when we received a radio call that we had skipped a stop. We turned right on to Spring Mill then right onto 86th and right onto Ditch and went back to Pickwick Place. We were only 30 minutes late.
Keep laughing … with only 2 children left on the bus this afternoon, the brake alarm went off! So we sat at the day care by Trader Joe’s for another bus to come!
So I get paid for 3 hours at $13 an hour instead of only 2 hours. Keep laughing!
Can’t wait till tomorrow!
