Conversation Club Chatter

For those interested, tomorrow night’s presenter will be my neighbor Diane Friedman who some of you heard speak about a year ago. She will talk more about sleep disorders(mainly insomnia she said), with some literature and poetry woven in. She is nearly finished writing a book based on last year’s talk about the movie “A Matter of LIfe and Death” so she may bring in some information about that as well. 7:30 pm in the library at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. It will be an interesting evening I know!

Did Kathy go last night? I did try calling her but no answer. I wasn’t done until 10:00 and I was tired. I also thought all of you might not stay too much longer, at Starbucks. How was that one? Barb told me some of her news. Did I miss anything else? I’ll let you know how my visit with my nephew goes. I work, next week, Mon.-Wed. I get Thurs.- Mon. off so I have a couple days off with Elliott. I don’t think we will do much. I do hope to go to Bloomington, next Friday, with a friend. I don’t know if Elliott will want to go or not. Sue, I can’t remember, do you have the whole week off? Maureen I know you do. Do any of you have definite plans for the week? When I get off, tonight, I’m going home to eat. Then Matt is meeting me, around 7:00 ( he is going out, to eat, with Jenna, his roommate) and then we are driving to Lafayette to get Josh. More later.

BArb wants to have CC at Starbucks on Township (for a change and she thinks it more quiet than the one on Ditch Road). Her concern is does the one one township have deserts? I told her I thought so but she is going to call. I work until 9:00, tonight, so I’ll call her after work and if SB township doesn’t have deserts I’ll post that she changed it back to SB Ditch Road. Hope to see all of you.

Passover isn’t until April 20th but Elliott, Matt hope to get together with Elliott’s parents. I guess I will go also. They want to go to MCL. Tonight Elliott and Matt will be at Conceco for the HS boy’s basketball finals. I might watch a movie, or two, at home. I just brought back the DVD Into the Wild! It was interesting but sad!! I saw two good movies Thursday, after I rocked Elijah( a 5 month old Premie) and Monti! I saw Penelope and the Bank Job. I enjoyed both of them.

Have any of you watched DWTS the last two nights? I worked late, Monday so I only saw last night. I missed Pricilla Presley ( who I heard was very good for age 62) but I did enjoy Marlee M. and Kristi Y. I work again tonight and then go to Riley tomorrow. Then tomorrow is my movie afternoon. I’m not sure what Judy and I will see. Sunday I’m going to treat Kitzi to a movie, for her 60th birthday. I have about half a dozen friends who are either already 60 or turning 60 this year. My Dad will be 80 in June.

I called Barb and asked her to check her calendar and let Carol know what date works for her so that it can be posted so that the rest of us will know.

She had been off sick for 3 days and went to the dr… ear infection, sinus, fever etc etc. She actually was thinking of coming on Thursday but took the medicine the dr. had given her and didn’t wake up till 10.

At one time there were markers that the end were in stamps: little flowers, smily faces etc. they would probably enjoy that.

Kathy, Could you wait on telling us about Amy’s email, Thursday night, till I get there? I work until 9:00 but I will get to your house as soon as I can. THis is the weekend I go to Munster for a cousin’s Bridal Shower. My sister is one of the hostesses. I have lots of news to tell, in fact I need to write it doown to remember all of it. See all of you THursday.

Not the best day. started it by reading the letter of complaint by a parent to the superintedant and ended with the passing of Charlie and our friend in Cincinatti. Having a childhood friend of John’s gone is so wrong. Mike at least had a good full life and lived to see his first grandchild. Our friends from DC will fly here next week and we will all drive to Cincinatti for services Saturday afternoon.

Matt is on his way to Florida. He will stay with Jen today through Saturday and come home Sunday. They will both be working and spend some free time together. I will pick Matt up Sunday. I work this weekend but I’m off tomorrow and going , with Donna, to watch the Women’s Big Ten tournament. Bobby told me he bought his Yankees tickets for August 15th. His College roommates family live in NY so he will stay with then about a week. He also plans on going to a Mets game. He just has to double check on how long he will be in Florida. He thinks he will be done the first week of August. My friend, Kitzi, went to Florida, to celebrate her 60th birthday. She, like Matt, left today. What are all of you up to this weekend?

All CC ladies are welcome to attend our group Tuesday the 4th at 7:30 pm in Pilgrim’s library. We have a lady coming with a number of quilts that she will present a program about. Don’t really know if she will be incorporating poetry, or just information on the patterns and quilting in general in her presentation, but I think it will be interesting no matter what. Next month (April 1) my neighbor Diane Friedman will make a return visit - more of “A Matter of Life and Death” from her 5/07 program, and on her own book ready to be published.

I am taking Tuesday off and going with him. His operation is for glaucoma. He had one before but it didn’t work so he goes to a specialist.
