Conversation Club Chatter

Not that Bobby or Matt are engaged but I’m really enjoying emailing Jen and having Rachel come over. Rachel was over last night. Ladies, do your sons really talk and share with you? Bobby does a little more than Matt but I’m definitely finding out things ( not really personal) from Jen that Matt doesn’t tell me or ELLIOTT either!! Matt went to Columbus, Ohio with the Indians. We knew that. Jen emailed and said she is driving to Columbus to meet Matt. That he didn’t tell us. Also she said she is coming to Indy in late July. That, also Matt never told us!
Rachel will discuss Grey’s Anatomy and movies with me. I’m loving it! I’m enjoying reading about all of your trips! I’m leaving, Thursday, for Munster. I’ll probably go to a gambling boat, a festival or two and the Taste of Chicago, with my family. Did I tell you how much Bobby, Elliott and I enjoyed My Dad’s Brunch? I’ll have some pictures (I also have a good picture of Bobby and Rachel before the went to a Wedding in Carmel.

Due to his job not being posted (equal opportunity) John was informed that he won’t be starting his new job until October. Ouch. He had already quit his present job. He went back to the school and they found a 2 month assignment in some small town. He was lucky. He may or may not be back in the States in September. His training may be in Glascow and not Boston.
Shana was in town for another training. Shana and Kara were here for dinner last night. I grilled salmon and vegetables. We had berry cobbler for dessert. The black raspberries are ripening. yum. I have been reading May’s Garden and I do enjoy it.

Well, not really hunting, but we did take a water taxi ride together!! Hadn’t heard anything from her, but Delaney and I were on the water taxi again this morning and we walked our way to the back of the boat needing to look down so we didn’t step on any feet. We sat down at the rear of the boat, and I looked up at the people whose feet we had just stepped around and lo and behold - it was Kate and Company!! We have a photo together to prove it! In the bike vs. car …. Kevin’s rental insurance will cover the repair to the car. His medical bills were denied under his medical insurance because they said his car insurance should pay. They were then denied under his car insurance because he does not regularly reside with the policyholder (who called that one at CC?). I would think he can have the hospital resubmit them to his medical insurance. Sounds as if he’ll need to get his own car insurance… the last step to total independence from us (except for the cell phone).

The results of the MRI I had on my shoulder was … severe rotator cuff tendinitis. I need to take anti inflammatory meds and went in for a shot today. I also need to rest my arm … my right arm… as if that is going to happen! Actually, I can take a break from weights and we will be gone next week so that will take care of house and yard work. Good thing I got all the windows washed this week!

I really enjoyed meeting Rachel. The three of us had a nice dinner at Rock Bottom. Then we went back to the house. I found out they have been friends for five years. He has met her parents at IU but Elliott and I never met Rachel at IU( isn’t that interesting!) I think she must really like Bobby. He had her sit through his Kathy Robbin’s Exstavaganza(when he was in third grade), his Junior Spec act and his Little League baseball game when he was a 9 year old All Star at WDT.
The Wedding was Heaven!! The ceremony, music, dancing (only the main meal was a complaint) and conversation was terrific. I enjoyed the Palmer House. Now the Monday Morning Brunch could be on Jerry Springer!! (more about it at the next CC or our field trip, whichever comes first!!)
I enjoyed Celebrating Josh’s birthday on Monday. Nancy and I spent the day with him. Then my parents,Eddie, Josh and I had a cookout. Eddie grilled hotdogs. Nancy had two cancer groups but came home in time for birthday cake
I’m excited about going back for my Dad’s 80th birthday brunch. Now Bobby is gonig with Elliott and me. Matt still can’t go. He has an Indian’s Home game.

cclub at my house or is it the road trip? I put that we had possibly, tentatively scheduled that day for The CarolFaye tea . In my case I need to hear from John to be sure as to what I will be doing.

Carol, You should have Steve post Sue- Maureen’s house since they are going half and half LOL. I hope to see all of you even if it’s for a short time. I’m really tired from SRP and won’t get off till 9:00 Barb said she is going to dinner with friends butr plans to stop by Maureen’s house after dinner. If I’m not there by 9:30 I probably am just too tired.

Hey, isn’t the limit 10 comments!! LOL! I thought I better start another! So Kathy and Carol, you are going to the same place? Even though most of us keep up on the computer those of us that don’t go to CC do miss out. Kathy, did I miss wedding pictures, also? I will try to come this Thursday but I work late and have things to do to get ready to go to Munster for a chicago Wedding and helping with my Dad’s 80th brunch the following Sunday. I have to find pictures of my Dad (that I have in albums) and the family. the pictures will be part of the party theme and decorations.

I checked my calendar and I will be gone the week of June 23rd. So if next week is ok with everyone else, I’ll see you at Sue’s on June 12th.

John got the monster job. He will fly to Boston for a training in July so we will probably go there and then Colorado the first week of August.

Margie said look at the power outage as an opportunity to clean your refrigerator. I did. Threw out some food and the Jones’s let us store some in their extra refrigerator. See you Thursday at Kate’s.
